Sharon A. Quinn, 82, died Tuesday, January 5, 2021, at Unity Point-St. Luke’s Medical Center in Sioux City, IA.
A memorial mass will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, June 18, 2021 at Holy Cross Parish—Blessed Sacrament Church. A visitation will begin at 9:30 until service time. Christy-Smith Funeral Homes, Larkin Chapel is handling the arrangements. Please visit

Sharon Ann Hagemeier, the daughter of Wilbur and Dorothy (McDonald) Hagemeier was born March 5, 1938, in Burlington, IA. She graduated from Burlington High School in 1956. Sharon then went to work for I.R.C. in production.
On April 28, 1962, Sharon was united in marriage with William “Bill” Quinn in Dover, DE. The couple moved to Burlington, where they had four children. They moved to Cedar Rapids, IA, and were blessed with another child. Their sixth child was born in Oklahoma City, OK. The family lived in Wichita, KS before moving back to Sioux City in 1993. Sharon was a homemaker when the children were little, but had various jobs later in life, such as babysitting and retail.
Sharon was an active member at Holy Cross Parish-Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church as well as volunteering at the soup kitchen. She and Bill were also members of a Dance Club. Sharon was an avid cook, and loved movies, gardening, and travelling.
Sharon is survived by her husband, Bill of Sioux City; her children, Paul Quinn of Sioux City, Susan (Steve) Kern and their children, Anna and Ryan, of Sioux City, Patrick (Jennifer) Quinn and their son, Jackson, of Chicago, IL, Matt (Tamra) Quinn and their children, Chase, Jake, and Will, of Wichita, KS, Brian (Amy) Quinn of Georgetown, TX; three siblings, Marilyn Vanderfin of Vacaville, CA, Richard (Janet) Hagemeier of Burlington, Larry Hagemeier of Burlington; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant daughter.
The family has requested that memorials be directed to Holy Cross Parish-Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.
