Shirley was born Nov. 17, 1937, to Clyde and Frances (Vanover) Jackson in Maysville, MO.
Shirley was a humble, honest, hard-working woman who loved nothing more than her family. She was fiercely independent, strong-willed, and determined to live life by her rules. Shirley accomplished many things in her life, including when she quit smoking after 60 years. She was a kind soul who would help anybody, no matter what. Shirley was a hilarious, fun-loving person whose smile was infectious.
Shirley enjoyed planting flowers in the Spring, and watching John Wayne Westerns and Yellowstone. She also loved playing Power Keno, drinking Coke, funny T-shirts, ordering her weekly Jerry’s Pizza, baking, cooking, watching Sunnybrook Services on TV, and spending time with her family.
Her biggest idol was her mother, Frances, whom she enjoyed visiting in Gallatin, MO.
Shirley is preceded in death by her parents, Frances and Elmer Whitt and Clyde Jackson; her first spouse, Bill Josta; her second spouse, Bill Hancock; her sisters, Pudgy and Patsy; and her brothers, Marvin and Danny; and her grandchildren, April Ann Josta, Johnathan Keith Munter, and Anthony R. Josta. Shirley is survived by her 4 children, Jeannie Franklin, Tony (Christy) Josta, Linda (Keith) Munter, and Heidi (Matt) Montgomery; 13 grandchildren, Chris, Eric, Brandon, Greg, Jenny, Abby, Andrew, Abbie, Keith E., Shyanne June, Jacob, Devon, and Matthew; and 16 great-grandchildren.
