Shirley Ruhlemann, 91, of Sioux City, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, Oct. 13, 2016, at a local hospital.
Memorial services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Morningside Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home.
Shirley was born on May 31, 1925, in Minneapolis, Minn., to Adrian and Elizabeth (Magda) Anderson.
She was united in marriage to Charles W. Ruhlemann on June 27, 1942, in South Sioux City, Neb. She worked as a production supervisor at Wincharger/Zenith for 24 years. She later worked as a seamstress at Aalfs and Hovland until her retirement.
Shirley enjoyed bowling, camping, and puzzle books. She was a member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church. Shirley loved spending time with her kids and grandkids.
Those left to honor her memory include her daughters, Sandra (Randy) of Bricker, Tenn., and Peggy (Alan) Sales of Sioux City; four grandkids, Billy Magnuson of Denver, Colo., Kimberly (Tim) Maxson of Sioux Falls, S.D., John (Irene) Sales of Sioux Falls, and Robert (Janice) Magnuson of Sioux City; four great-grandchildren, Garrett and Brent Maxson, Anthony and Elizabeth Magnuson; three great-great-grandkids, Victoria, Valerie, and Vance Magnuson; and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; and brother, Richard Anderson.
