MOVILLE, Iowa -- Shirley LaVonne Rundall, 82, of Moville died Friday, May 28, 2010, at her residence.
Services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Moville Evangelical Church of North America, with the Rev. Brian Hotrum officiating. Burial will be in Arlington Township Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m. and a prayer service at 7 p.m., at the church. Shirley was born Sept. 19, 1927, in Larrabee, Iowa, the daughter of Irwin and Leona (Scholl) Morey. She grew up in Larrabee and graduated from Larrabee High School. She continued her education at the National Business Training in Le Mars, Iowa. She then worked for the Department of Human Services.
Shirley married Wallace "Wally" Rundall on June 8, 1952, in Moville, Iowa. They made their home and farmed in the Moville area. After retiring from farming, they moved to Kingsley, Iowa. Wally died March 31, 2002. After his death, she moved to Moville.
She was an active member of Moville Evangelical Church, where she had been the organist for many years. She also was a member of the Farm Bureau. She enjoyed music, playing music and reading.
Survivors include a son, Mike Rundall of Hornick, Iowa; a daughter, Renee and Vince Miller of Papillion, Neb.; a daughter-in-law, Lilly Rundall of Moville; four grandchildren; and a sister, Peggy Bryant of Detroit, Mich.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Irwin and Leona Morey; her husband, Wally Rundall; a son, Terry Rundall; two sisters, Nellie Morey and Winnie Montgomery; and a brother, Joe Morey.
