Sioux City, Iowa - Stella L. Williams, 93, Sioux City died Thursday, Jan. 31, 2013, at a Sergeant Bluff nursing home.
Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Grace United Methodist Church . The Rev. Timothy Bonney will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m. , at Morningside Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home.
Stella was born on Dec. 14, 1919 , in Bridgeport , Conn. , the daughter of Forrest and Lillian (Guile) Shattuck. She moved to Sioux City as a child and has lived here most of her life. She worked at Wincharger, Zenith and Sioux City Battery.
She married Otis Charles Moore in 1936. She then married Robert Williams on Sept. 27, 1947 in South Sioux City .
She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church . Stella enjoyed going to Okoboji in the summer. She also enjoyed camping, fishing and boating.
She is survived by her husband, Robert of Sioux City; two sons, Charles Moore of Sioux City, and Edward and Beth Williams of Hawarden, Iowa; five grandchildren, Debbie Hair, Brad and Tracy Moore, Krista and Jeremiah Verbeski, Jessica and Paul Kramer, and Jason Williams; a stepgranddaughter, Brianne Weiler; two great-grandsons, Trevor Moore, and Tristen Verbeski; three great-granddaughters, Sophie Kramer, Samantha Kramer, and Jade Moore; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Raymond Hall and Myron Moore; a sister, Olive Hurley.
