Susan L. Cowell, 63, of Sioux City died Monday, Aug. 10, 2015, at a Sioux City hospital.
Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Morningside Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Homes, with the Rev. Merrill Muller officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Park Cemetery.
Susan was born March 18, 1952, in Sioux City, the daughter of James and Lillian (Pinney) Cowell. She attended school in Sioux City and graduated from Central High School in 1970. Over the years, Susan had been co-owner of Rowdies Lounge, worked as a business director for Midstates Collections and an onsite desk specialist for Gateway.
Susan was an active member of the Imperial Court of Iowa for over 20 years, holding many different offices.
Survivors include her daughter, Destine ‘CJ’ Cowell and fiancé, Dennis Crees of Sioux City; a son, Beau Cowell of Sioux Falls, S.D.; two brothers, James Cowell of Sioux City, and John (Teresa) Bell of Houston, Texas; best friends, Jeannie Calhoon, Terry Wright and Lisa Fathauer, all of Sioux City; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
