Susan M. May

Susan May, 61, of Sioux City, passed away Monday, May 1, 2017, at home in Sioux City, surrounded by loving family and friends.
Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Morningside Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home.
Susan was born on Oct. 12, 1955, in Sioux City, to Walter and Ednalouise (Winker) Lenz. Susan graduated from North High School in 1973 and received her associate degree from WITCC.
She was a devoted Christian who loved serving the Lord. She attended Cornerstone World Outreach and shared God’s love with others through volunteering in various aspects of the ministry. Susan enjoyed spending time with her friends and family and cherished every moment spent with her grandsons, Jackson and Jacob.
Those left to honor her memory include her mother, Ednalouise Lenz of Sioux City; daughter, Jessica (Josh) Burns of Marion, Iowa; grandsons, Jackson and Jacob; siblings, Mark (Brenda) Lenz of Lawrence, Kan., David (Sherry) Lenz of Sergeant Bluff, Brenda (David) Sanford of Chalfont, Pa., and Luke Lenz of Omaha; and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her father and a nephew.
