Tacy Alice Donnell (Thorp)

Tacy Donnell, 98, of Albert City, Iowa, formerly of Sioux City and Moville, died Dec. 21, 2013, at a nursing home in Albert City.
Services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of McCulloch Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home in Moville.
Tacy was born on Sept. 21, 1915, in Moville, the daughter of Charles and Eula May (Cook) Thorp. She attended school in Moville and graduated from Moville High School in 1933.
Tacy married Willis Burdette Donnell Jr. on July 1, 1939, in Le Mars, Iowa. They made their home in Sioux City. Tacy worked at St. Vincent’s Hospital for more than 12 years. Willis died in February 1982.
Tacy’s family was her life. She loved taking care, baking and spending time with them.
Survivors include three sons, Theo Duane and Susan Donnell of Cheyenne, Wyo., Danny and Roberta Donnell of Golden, Colo., and Dion and Genet Donnell of Rembrandt, Iowa; 15 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; a brother, Willard and Patricia Thorp of Hot Springs, Ark.; and nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Willis; a son, Dennis; and seven siblings, Donny, Rachael, Ermajean, Walter, Rupert, Theo and William.
