Terry P. Simmons, 73, died Friday December 11, 2020, at MercyOne Medical Center in Sioux City, IA.
A graveside service will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, December 17, 2020, at Memorial Park Cemetery. Christy-Smith Funeral Homes, Morningside, is assisting the family with arrangements.
Terry Paul Simmons, the son of Paul and Betheen (Leach) Simmons was born June 6, 1947, in Pisgah, IA. He graduated from Riverside High School in Pisgah. In 1967, Terry enlisted in the U.S. Army and served in the Vietnam Conflict. He attained the rank of Staff Sergeant before his honorable discharge in 1975.
Terry worked as a truck driver. He was employed with Leach Logistics for 18 years, before his retirement in 2009.
Terry is survived by a daughter, Mary Simmons of California; siblings, Karen Dowdy of Sioux City, Cheryl Martinez of Dakota City, IA, Bonnie Simmons of Sioux City, Sharon Allison of Sioux City; and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Tom.
