Thomas Frederick Collier

Thomas “Tom” F. Collier, age 81, of Sioux City, passed away Tuesday, August 9, 2022, at Good Samaritan Society in Le Mars.
Memorial service will be 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 16, 2022, at Christy-Smith Funeral Homes, Morningside Chapel. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
Tom Frederick Collier, the son of Forrest and Malla (Thomson) Collier, was born April 26, 1941, in Sioux City. He grew up in the area and graduated from East High School.
On May 27, 1967, he was united in marriage to Sharon Moller at Grace United Methodist Church in Sioux City. Tom was an 8th grade teacher in the Sioux City Community School district for 40 years, retiring in 2002.
He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, and the Sportsman’s Club of Le Mars. He enjoyed hunting, trap shooting, fishing, and the outdoors.
Tom is survived by his daughter, Megan Collier of Le Mars, IA; grandchildren, Trinity Brunsting, Meredith Brunsting, and Thomas Brunsting; niece, Michelle Nix; nephews, Michael Weideman, Brian Weideman, and Mark Weideman.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Sharon; sister, Mary Weideman.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Sportsman’s Club of Le Mars.
