Thomas Medford "Tom" Dillon

Sioux City - Thomas M. Dillon, 84, of Sioux City passed away March 7, 2013, at a local hospital.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Jefferson, S.D. Private family graveside services will be at a later date. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Saturday at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Berkemier Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home in Sioux City.
He was born on June 6, 1928, in Sioux City, to Jesse and Evelyn (Hansel) Dillon. Tom grew up in Jefferson and Riverside.
He enjoyed woodcarving and worked as a bricklayer for most of his life.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia Dillon; three daughters and their husbands, Lynn and Ron Peters, Linda and Robert Nelson, and Laura Dillon and Dave Plueger; a son and his wife, Jim and Marilyn Dillon; a stepdaughter and her husband, Robin and Nick Drago; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother; and his sisters.
