MOVILLE, Iowa -- Thressia J. Klein, 90, of Moville died Tuesday, March 13, 2012, at Embassy Rehab in Sergeant Bluff.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Moville, with the Rev. Barb Spaulding officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in Anthon, Iowa. Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. today, with a prayer service at 7 p.m., at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Christy-Smith McCulloch Chapel in Moville.
Thressia was born June 28, 1921, at Anthon, the daughter of Martin and Fannie (Clausen) Hansen. She grew up and attended school near Anthon.
Thressia married Arthur J. Klein on Oct. 2, 1939, at Ida Grove, Iowa. Together they made their home in the Anthon area until moving to Oregon for a short time and returning to this area in the late 1940s. Thressia and Arthur were married for 66 years before his death in August 2006.
Thressia was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Moville and the Moville Senior Center.
Survivors include her children, JoAnn (Kenneth "Dutch") Jahn of Moville; Brad (Bernadine) Klein of Spring Lake, Mich.; Linda (retired Maj. Robert) Peters of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Deborah (Dr. Michael) Padomek of Sioux City; her daughter-in-law, Regena Klein of Hinton, Iowa; nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; her brother, Tom (Sylvia) Hansen of Hinton; and her sister, Darlene Jansen of Anthon.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Arthur; her son, Gerald; two grandsons, AlanKlein and Randy Jahn; a granddaughter, Kelly Peters; five sisters, Margaret Colamore, Dorothy Nelson, Rose Lilly, Emma Schmidt and Marie Schmidt; and two brothers, Pete Hansen and Johnny Hansen.
