SIOUX CITY -- Timothy Thomas Uhl, 53, lifelong resident of Sioux City died Monday, Dec. 14, 2009, in Sioux City.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at Morningside Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home, with the Rev. Merrill G. Muller officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present 6:30 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home. Condolences may be sent online to christysmith.com.
Tim was born July 1, 1956, in Sioux City. He was adopted by Thomas and Mabel (Amick) Uhl. He grew up and attended Sioux City public schools, graduating from East High School in 1974. He worked for the city of Sioux City Water Department for 18 years. Most recently, he was employed with Wal-Mart on Floyd Blvd. for the last seven years.
He enjoyed watching football and baseball, especially the Bears and Cubs. He also enjoyed fishing, watching television and playing video games.
Survivors include two sons, Jeremy and Tamara Uhl of South Sioux City and Nathan and Andrea Uhl of Kansas City, Mo.; a daughter, Lindsey and Kirk Bradley of Sioux City; grandchildren, Bret Uhl, Shelbie Uhl and Elizabeth Bradley; his siblings, Nels Reynolds of Sioux City, Phylis Reynolds of Sioux City, Frank Nimmer of Elk Point, S.D., Douglas Dickson of Sioux City, Debra Anderson of Emmetsburg, Iowa, Daniel Uhl of California, and Rebecca Strum of Yuma, Ariz.; his birth mother, Kathy Walker of Dakota City; and special friends, Wanda Downs and her family, James Cole and his family, Brandy Barton and her family, Rebecca Johnson and Jesse Cole.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
