HORNICK, Iowa -- Tina M. (Hansen) Barto, 48, of Hornick died suddenly Sunday, Sept. 25, 2011, due to injuries from a motorcycle accident.
Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Glad Tidings Lighthouse in South Sioux City. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Sioux City. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m., at United Methodist Church in Smithland, Iowa. Arrangements are under the direction of Morningside Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home in Sioux City.
Tina was born Oct. 9, 1962, in Sioux City, to Floyd and Marlene (Evans) Hansen. She grew up in the Siouxland area. Tina was engaged to be married on April 13, 2012, to Scott Sulsberger of Hornick.
She was a caregiver to disabled children, senior citizens, a mother and caretaker to everyone. She was a woman of great faith and loved her family. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, writing, and making people smile.
Survivors include her fiance, Scott Sulsberger of Hornick; three sons, Damian Robertson, Brenton Palmer, and Edward Trudell-Barto; a daughter, Ashley Palmer all of Sioux City; her mother, Marlene Hansen of Smithland; her siblings, Donna and Dennis Kaiser of Minooka, Ill., Dennis and Shelia of Dakota City, Carla Lucart of Eugene, Ore., Michael and Charlotte Hansen, and Dondi Hansen, all of Smithland, Wendy and Jason Corn of Moorhead, Iowa, Karen, Gail, Skip, Pam, Lynn, and Terry, all of Fort Dodge, Iowa; and numerous nieces and nephews that she loved so much.
Preceding her in death was her father, Floyd A. Hansen Sr.
