Viola Forshee Isaacson Bell, age 93, of Sioux City passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday August 21, 2019 at a local hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 27, 2019 at Morningside Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Homes with burial following in Graceland Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Viola was born in Washington D.C. on July 11, 1926, the daughter of Cecil and Margaret (Houston) Forshee. She attended school in the area. She was united in marriage with Raymond Isaacson on March 1, 1951. Following Raymond’s passing, she married Charles Bell on November 18, 1966 in Kenosha, Wisconsin.
She worked for Chrysler Corporation for a few years before moving to Kenosha, WI, where she worked at the Department of Public Works for Kenosha. She came to Sioux City in 1966 and was employed at the City Treasures Office until her retirement. She formerly attended Temple Baptist Church.
She is survived by her son, Scott Isaacson of Sioux City; two grandchildren, Christian Isaacson and Jason Isaacson; and four great-grandchildren.
Viola was preceded in death by her parents and her husbands.
