Viola J. Smith, 88, formerly of Sioux City, died Wednesday, September 1, 2021, at the Alcester Care Center in Alcester, SD.

Viola J. Aspland, the daughter of Fred and Verna (Goldsborough) Aspland was born May 28, 1933, in Sioux City, IA. She graduated from East High School in 1951.
Viola was united in marriage with Allen Smith. She worked at the Wincharger factory and then Interbake (Weston) Foods.
Viola is survived by her son, Duane Wang, and a granddaughter, Angel Wang. She is preceded in death by her parents and husband.
