MOVILLE, Iowa -- Virginia "Dee" Allner, 62, of Moville passed away Saturday, Sept. 4, 2010, at a Sioux City hospital.
Services will be 6 p.m. today at McCulloch Chapel, Christy Smith Funeral Home in Moville. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 P.M. at the funeral Home. Per Dee's wishes, cremation has taken place. Online condolences may be sent to

Virginia Jean Walsh was born April 14, 1948, to James and Julia (Heenan) Walsh, in Sioux City. She attended Catholic schools in Sioux City and graduated from Heelan High School with the class of 1966.
Dee and Larry Allner were married on June 15, 1968, at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Sioux City. The couple made their home on a farm near Climbing Hill, Iowa, before moving to Moville in 1979. Dee worked as a custodian for First Trust and Savings for 14 years, retiring in 2005.
She was a member of the Meadow's Ladies Golf League, known as the Meadowlarks. She also bowled in Gay Lanes mixed bowling league. In her spare time Dee enjoyed bowling and golfing. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Dee is survived by her husband, Larry of Moville; daughters, Pamela and husband, Troy Anderson of Moville and Tammy and husband, Chris Swart of Kalona, Iowa; grandchildren, Dylan, Jacob, Ashley, Trey, Amber and Blake; a brother, Charles and wife, Bonnie Walsh of Omaha; numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives; and a host of friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
