Virginia Kathryn Meskel (Webster)

Virginia (Webster) Meskel, 93, of Sioux City died Tuesday, March 18, 2008, at Indian Hills Nursing and Rehab Center.
Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Third Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Jennifer Santer officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 10 a.m. until service time Friday at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Christy-Smith Morningside Chapel.
Virginia was born Feb. 27, 1915, in Beltrami, Minn., the daughter of Boyd and Vera Webster. She had been a longtime Sioux City resident.
She married William John Meskel on Dec. 23, 1948, in Dakota City. He passed away Jan. 6, 1991. She was a homemaker, caring wife and mother.
She was a member of Third Presbyterian Church. Her joys in life were her children and grandchildren, they were the center of her universe. Her generosity for them had no bounds. She did so much with so little. She also loved animals, dancing with Bill at the Eagles Club, cooking and baking for her family.
Survivors include her children, Carol Gorrell of Azusa, Calif., David Mead of Las Vegas, Nev., Susan Ryan of Sioux City and Billy Meskel of Las Vegas, Nev.; grandchildren, Jason, Brad, Lisa, Cari, Brian, Mike, Bobby, Randy and Steve; and a brother, Herb Webster of Whittier, Calif.
She was preceded in death by her husband; a son, Vincent John Meskel; a granddaughter, Renee; two brothers, Bob and Bud; and a sister, Wanda.
