SIOUX CITY -- Virginia Perley, 90, of Hot Springs Village, Ark., formerly of Sioux City, died Sunday, Oct. 3, 2010, at her home.
Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Monday in Memorial Park Cemetery, Sioux City. Visitation will be 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Morningside Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home. Arrangements in Hot Springs Village is under the direction of Caruth Village Funeral Home. Guest register is

She was born Nov. 29, 1919, in Sioux City, to Orla and Birdie (Batman) Nickle. She graduated from Central High School.
She married Dick F. Perley on April 4, 1941, in Sioux City. He died Oct. 31, 1985, in Hot Springs, Ark. She lived in South Dakota, Nebraska and Illinois, before moving to Hot Springs Village around 1980. She was a homemaker and housewife.
She was a 30-year member of Village United Methodist Church. Virginia was also a member of Order of the Eastern Star and a past president of the Village Women's Club. She had been active with the Rainbow Girls and DeMoley.
She is survived by son, Don Perley of Stratford, Conn.; daughters, Louise Jacobson of Brandon, Miss., and Linda (Dave) MacDonald of Elmer, N.J.; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Virginia was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dick F. Perley; infant daughter, Mary Jean Perley; and two sisters; and three brothers.
