Walter Bernard Susemihl

Moville, Iowa - Walter B. Susemihl, 88, of Moville passed away Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2012, at a Sioux City hospital.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Moville. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m., at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of McCulloch Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home in Moville.
Walter was born April 21, 1924 in Merrill, Iowa, to Ulrich and Marie (Von Hagel) Susemihl. He graduated from Liberty Consolidated High School in Merrill.
He married Marlys Eppling in 1959. She passed away in 1996. Walter managed Northwest Iowa Farm Service Company until retiring in 1988. In retirement, he worked at the McCulloch Chapel in Moville.
Walter was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and the Moville Fire & Ambulance Squad.
Survivors include a daughter, Lori and Walt Snyder of Avoca, Iowa, a son, Paul Susemihl of Omaha; and stepgrandchildren, Shauna and Caleb Snyder of Omaha.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; a brother, Arnold Susemihl; and a sister, Wilma Less.
