Wanda J. Lundeen, 72, of Sergeant Bluff, Iowa died Thursday, March 3, 2016 at her home in Sergeant Bluff. Funeral Services will be 11:00 Tuesday, March 8 at Morningside Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Homes. Visitation will be 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Monday at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Wanda was born September 14, 1943 in Austin, Minnesota, the daughter of Edward and Edith (Sweazey) Coleman. As a young girl, she moved with her family to Sioux City where she attended school and graduated from East High School. Wanda married Gary Lundeen September 17, 1961. Together they made their home in Sioux City, moving to Worthington, Minnesota for five years, then returning to Sioux City. Wanda worked at Williges before She and Gary started Lundeen’s Janitorial Services, which they owned and operated for over 18 years. They moved to Glen Haven, Colorado for several years before returning to Sioux City in 2010.
Wanda loved spending time with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed being outside and working in the garden.
Survivors include her husband, Gary Lundeen of Sgt. Bluff, IA; 3 children, Lori (Trevor) Hodge of Sioux City, Jeff (Melissa) Lundeen of Dakota City, SD and Julie (Karl) Lundy of Des Moines, IA; 12 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; 3 sisters, Daphene (John) Sturges of Sioux City, IA, Linda (Terry) Sigaty of Sioux City, IA and Debbie (Bob) Hust of Montana; and one brother, Ronald (Christine) Coleman of Sioux City, IA.
She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 sisters, Vera and Dawn; one brother, Glenn.
