William W. Dodge

November 3, 1925 — March 18, 2014

William W. "Bill" Dodge, 88, of Sioux City died Tuesday, March 18, 2014, at his residence with his caring family at his side. He departed this world in the same room, where he entered.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Morningside Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home. Burial will be in Graceland Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today, with a Masonic service at 7 p.m., at the funeral home.
He was born on Nov. 3, 1925, at his home in Sioux City, to Wilbur and Anna (Johnson) Dodge. He served his country as a Marine during World War II and Korea.
Bill married Dorothy Tieck on May 5, 1946. He retired from Wonder Bread after 40 years of service. He was recognized for safely driving more than 2 million miles.
Bill was a longtime member of the Shrine Masonic Temple (president of Sahibs in 1988), North Riverside Lodge 662, Scottish Rite of Free Masonry (High Twelve), Retired Teamster’s Union, D.A.V., and a lifetime member of Westminster Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy; daughters, Barbara (Manny) Tucker of Aurora, Colo., and Nancy (Randy) Krueger of Sioux City; son, Billy (Val) Dodge of Sioux City; grandchildren, Kelly (Dan) DeKalb of Louisville, Ky., Justin Tucker of Colorado Springs, Colo., Jeremy Dodge of Sioux City, Justin Dodge of Eden Prairie, Minn., and Jemma of Sioux City; great-grandchildren, Ryan and Andrew DeKalb; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his sisters, Madora, Theda, and Ida
