NORTH SIOUX CITY -- William Eugene Joseph "Bill" Bauer, 67, North Sioux City died Tuesday, Oct. 26, 2010, at a Elk Point, S.D. nursing home.
Private family service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Berkemier Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home.
Bill was born Feb. 18,1943, in Yakima, Wash., the son of William and Darlene (Ness) Bauer. Bill lived in several places throughout his life and came to Sioux City in 1976.
On June 22,1968, he married Andrea Osborn in Wapato, Wash. In Sioux City, Bill worked as an upholsterer, a janitor for the South Sioux City School System and at Wal-Mart in South Sioux City.
He was a former member of Sacred Heart Church and was a member of Blessed Teresa of Calcutta. He loved fishing, stock car races and camping.
He is survived by his wife, Andrea of North Sioux City; a son, David of North Sioux City; three sisters, Judy Vick of Rapid City, S.D., Sandy (Tom) Clarey of Illinois, Sue McClain of Indiana.
His father, William; and his mother and stepfather, Darlene and Myron McClain; preceded him in death.
