William Eugene Raasch

William "Bill" Raasch, 70, of Sioux City died Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2015, at his home.
Visitation with the family present will be 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at Morningside Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Homes. There will be no services.
Bill was born July 13, 1944, in Sioux City, the son of Carrol and Marie (Schleis) Raasch. He grew up in Sioux City and graduated from Heelan High School. Bill worked for MidAmerican Energy for more than 28 years, retiring in 2007.
Bill loved working on home improvement projects. He also enjoyed being outside hunting, fishing and golfing.
Bill is survived by a daughter, Kristine Raasch of LaVista, Neb.; a son, Todd Raasch of Sioux City; siblings, Shirley Mariani of San Francisco, Calif., Thomas "Hig" Higbie Jr. of Dubuque, Iowa, and Susie Pippenger of Pagosa Springs, Colo.; and ex-wife, Suzi Pitkin of Sioux City.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Gary.
